NZKA Labour Day Weekend Workshop 2005
The NZKA Labour day weekend workshop saw the participants make a Moorish Idol. This was never going to be an easy task as most of them found out during the course of the three days.
Although three people had finished the sewing of their idol, only one Idol was completed during the three day event.
I believe that says a lot on how difficult these line art pieces are to make.
I must thank Anne and Peter Whitehead for hosting this event and for preparing the 600 or so panels that needed to be hot cut.
Also a very big thanks to all the participants who put up with my constant nagging and for telling them off when they had gone to far ahead without my consent.
The two images of the completed blue Idols are courtesy of David and Muriel Bowie.
